Hey Players,
I wanted to see what your thoughts are for Call of the Hero Spell. I would like to add a convenience of being able to keep your box characters together easier. We are considering the possibility of implementing a way for players to summon group members. Would you like this feature?
Possible Options of implementation: 1. Item purchased from NCPs for Platinum that has charges 2. World Drop item 3. Discipline spell you would add to your Hot Bar that would consume Endurance
If we gave all players access to Call of the Hero, what would the mages do?! I was considering making call of the hero another pet spell for mages. Perhaps some type of Summoned Paladin Pet, Stuns and some heals.
Thoughts?

I like the idea of making it a pet...
make it a drop but not super easy to obtain obviously coth being used by all classes is OP so it should be considered a prized item. Maybe make a custom world boss drop it or inny/CT

just an idea:
i look at this as QoL that all should have. the main thing would be avoiding abuse. a 5-10-15minute re-use clicky would prevent almost all abuse.
still functional for a "1-time" summons of your group (boxes). traveling, moving in intricate, perilous pathway etc.. although if you ahve 3 toons, each could have the item... maybe some sort of debuff that lands when it's cast prevents those toons from clicking their own item.
i often play a mage. so, any replacement for CoH would be cool too. i plan to test this server out, so this is a general comment -- i've always though the mage pet should be better than the rest. they get so much less elsewhere, lol. slow nukes that are resisted easily etc. no slow, no heals. a pet that's 1% stronger = net negative in comparison to nec/sham/bst. on top of that, they ruined the best mage pet lev51+.
giving up exclusivity of CoH is not a big deal. utility.. pbbbt. if it doesn't help in combat, it's small potatoes. (!! the agro clearing effect could stay exclusive to mages!! should have though of that above.)

My time is starting to free up, so I should start being a bit more active in the coming weeks.
Dre and I will take a look at this and make a determination soon, then figure out to implement something. I can't promise it'll be exactly what you are suggesting, but I think something is better than nothing at this point.

The spell will be the same spell scroll from Kunark 55+ mobs when its complete.
